The 2nd Most Important Activity in Caregiving Is…

We all know the #1 most important activity in caregiving. Performing caregiving activities themselves like making sure medications are taken, attending doctor appointments, preparing nutritious meals, keeping the house clean, bathing, grooming, etc.

Number 2

The second most important activity in caregiving is documenting what happened. This is what the professionals do. They take notes so they can refer to them in the future. They not only take notes, they chart out trends in vitals (like blood pressure) over time, so they can see how you’re doing at each doctor visit. Movement up or down in these metrics can help doctors determine what steps to take. But can’t you do that, too? Aren’t you a professional?
