Care3 started with the realization that the most vulnerable members of our society including seniors, people of color, and the disabled do not have equal access to healthcare and receive woefully inadequate quality of care in their homes and communities. The social determinants of health can be addressed to begin reducing their impact on quality of life and personal achievement. Care3 is built to fix these unacceptable and unnecessary health disparities.
How? Health is a journey, but care is determined first through a conversation. The better the conversations over the course of the journey, the better the care and the higher the probability of positive health outcomes. If conversations between patients, families, providers and health plans do not happen or are of poor quality, how can anyone expect to achieve the best results? Care3 has transformed healthcare conversations to achieve extraordinary outcomes. These results have been achieved on typically underserved groups, showing promise towards bucking the social determinants of health at scale.

David is a thought leader in healthcare communications and consumer digital health. Care3 is inspired by David’s experience caring for his mother prior to her passing and his special needs son.
Prior to Care3, David was co-Founder and CEO of InvolveCare, a mobile task crowdsourcing platform for family caregivers incubated within Aetna’s Healthagen unit. InvolveCare reached thousands of families and generated multi-millions in revenue in its first year. Based on this success, Aetna approved InvolveCare's acquisition and enterprise integration after only 14 months in operation resulting in a strong exit for the team.
Prior to InvolveCare, David was Founding Executive, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Business Development at PatientsLikeMe, the world’s first consumer health data sharing platform. PatientsLikeMe has been heralded by numerous media outlets including Fast Company—ranking PatientsLikeMe the #2 Most Innovative Healthcare Company in 2010 (behind GE Healthcare). A recognized thought leader in consumer digital health and healthcare communications, David is a published author in peer-reviewed journals, Nature Biotechnology and the Journal of Communication in Healthcare.
David's previous corporate experience includes neuroscience global strategy positions with Eli Lilly and Company and healthcare strategy and systems consulting with Deloitte.
David serves on the Board of Advisors of The Price Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at UCLA. He is a 2013 Henry Crown Fellow and a 2018 Braddock Fellow of The Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. David earned a BS in Economics and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Digital Strategy with a certificate in Corporate Governance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Jon’s consumer media and entertainment expertise from eBay, Sony Pictures Digital, THX and Intel helped pioneer the digital distribution of content including on-demand video, music/audio and pictures as part of digital entertainment product suites. Now Jon is bringing his talents to the healthcare industry to help drive consumer engagement and better outcomes.
Jon was previously co-Founder and Head of Marketing for InvolveCare, a mobile task crowdsourcing platform for family caregivers incubated within Aetna’s Healthagen unit, where he worked to create an engaging platform for patients and families to connect, interact, and willingly help each other. Most recently he served as the interim Head of Product Explorations for Financial Engines, a public 401K financial management company.
Prior to InvolveCare and Financial Engines, Jon was a Founding Executive and Head of Marketing and Business Development for Zadspace, a venture-backed digital direct marketing company. Jon has consumer media and entertainment expertise from Sony Pictures Digital where he helped pioneer the digital distribution of content including on-demand video, music/audio and pictures as part of digital entertainment product suites. He also worked at THX, the digital sound spinoff of LucasFilm, studio home to the Star Wars franchise, where he helped bring next generation digital sound quality to home theater systems. As an early employee of e-Bay, Jon designed their award-winning registration module scaling consumer acquisition and introducing the member experience.
Jon earned bachelors degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering from University of California at Berkeley and his MBA in Digital Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Will is dedicated to simplifying the unnecessary complexities within the healthcare system to increase access to quality care for all populations. Realizing that underserved communities are overlooked when it comes to new consumer healthcare technology, Will helped found Care3 to leverage social and mobile technologies to improve the lives of the most vulnerable members of our society.
Prior to Care3, Will served as Vice President of Operations Strategy for Medicity, one of the Nation's largest HIE providers. While at Medicity, Will developed technology solutions for Managed Medicaid to improve the patient’s experience by enabling the sharing of information between physical and behavioral health providers. With access to the full patient record, providers were able to reduce the time needed to diagnose and treat patients, while patients experienced fewer tests and less time in providers’ offices.
Before Medicity, Will served as the Chief of Staff for Accountable Care Solutions (ACS) during its founding at Aetna. Accountable Care Solutions was established to empower provider organizations to realize their strategic visions of value-based care through patient-centered health solutions, an advanced technology suite, and flexible health plan services.
Prior to joining ACS, Will held the role of Deputy Chief of Staff to the Office of the Chairman, CEO and President of Aetna, Inc. Will’s career in managed care began at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts where he held several leadership positions in Finance and Healthcare Services.
Will received his MBA from Yale University School of Management. He also holds a master’s degree in health care administration and an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of South Florida. Will is also a 2006 Fellow of the University of Massachusetts’ Center for Collaborative Leadership.
